my day

I can't believe, August is over and the day is getting
shorter each day. It's also storming again the last days.
Could it be, that summer is over already? The trees in
front of our house are getting some yellow leafs...
Somehow I miss Midsummer now, even if I'm looking
forward to autumn as well.



I was invited by Heli to share one of my day with her
blog readers. My last post of Friday was actually part
of my first attempt to document my day. I didn't finish
documenting it, so, I've started another attempt last
Monday. Thank you, dear Heli, for the invitation and
opportunity!



Last week I was crazy about this song - listening to it
a million times a day. Starting two days ago I can't get
enough of this one, even if I've never been a Coldplay
fan before, now I am! The stop-motion video of their
Strawberry Swing is a must-seen and the interview
about the making-of of the video is a must-read
- inspiring!

add: I've shown my son the video and he immediately

pointed me out, that it sounds like Reamonn's Tonight.

I've followed the discussions on Flickr about it's similarity

with many other songs, but I don't think, I've seen it

compared with Raemonn before. . great chord memory!

Uh, oh, I had so much to tell in my last post, that I forgot
to mention some blog features *blush*

watching the handmade trend since 2003. Her blog is a
great source not only for events, but also for tips, news
and more - all around handmade, of course. Most of the
posts are in German, but sometimes also in English, like

3. Rasa of happyment has featured my Colors v.2 in
her window shopping on Etsy series.

The past weeks have been filled with getting
tagged, awarded and also featured. I got tagged

to all of you!! I just didn't manage to post about
it all up till now.

And these are six random things about me:
1. I find patterns are half as attractive as textures
or colors. Most of the fabrics that I've bought are
without patterns, but plain colors.
2. I'm not born for HP - I kept forgetting to take
it with me or to recharge the battery. I rather
love my family's first telephone, which looked like
model 500 telephone.
3. Sometimes I really hate technology, as it is
sometimes a step back for the life quality, if you
know what I mean...
4. My first dog was a Pekingese, which I got from
my grandma. He was quite a personality. He was
only nice to my mom and I.
5. My beloved dog was our Brindle Great Dane
(her ears were not cut though luckily!). She
obeyed me and slept in my bed. Sometimes she
took over the bed, when she was the first *lol*
The night before she died, she rolled herself to
me on the couch to say goodbye. She was so ill,
that she could not stand up anymore. I stayed
awake as long as I could. She died while I was
sleeping..
6. I miss all the pets we ever had. Psstt... maybe
we will get a cat or two in the future. Even though
I still can't imagine it. Me and cats! My grandma's
cats had always scratched me, that's why I didn't
like them as pet - only outside.
